During the meeting, you will also get a chance to taste some delicious cakes and fillings! We offer a de-constructed tasting.
You pick 2 cake flavors and 5 fillings (in addition to the vanilla buttercream and our signature salted caramel buttercream which are already included), this way you can mix and match at your will and try multiple flavor combinations.
There is a $60 fee to schedule the tasting appointment. This will be applied to your wedding cake order.
If your wedding is at one of the venues that we partner with (Rolling Hills Country Club, Trump National Golf Club Westchester, and Marigold's on Main) the tasting is complimentary.
If you decide to book your wedding at the end of your consultation this fee will be waived.
We allocate 45 minutes for your consultation and tasting.
Please be prompt so we have enough time to discuss every detail of your cake.
We recommend a 2-8 months' notice for wedding cakes. But, depending on our availability, we may be able to accommodate last-minute orders.
IN STUDIO
All consultations are by appointment only. Our studio is located at 195 Charles Street - Stratford, CT (3/4 mile off exit 30 on I-95). Tastings are only available for couples planning to order a wedding cake serving 60 or more.
Please be sure to schedule your tasting at least one week in advance.
During this meeting, we will discuss your cake design. So bring some inspiration with you! Although you will be able to look through our portfolio and display cakes, we really want to create a cake personalized to you.
We can draw inspiration from: invitations, color swatches, photos of bridal gowns, flower choices, and anything else that captures your style can inspire the cake design of your dreams. If you have created inspiration boards on Pinterest, please send us a link to your boards prior to your consultation. Your inspiration will guide us to better understand the decor for your event and allow us to create much more than a dessert but a one of a kind edible centerpiece.
TO GO
We understand that sometimes it's hard to coordinate schedules and come to our in-studio tasting. In that case, we offer a to-go tasting box that you can take home.
To-go tasting boxes should be picked up from our studio located at 195 Charles Street - Stratford, CT (3/4 mile off exit 30 on I-95) on weekdays 10 am - 4 pm or Saturdays at 11 am. Tasting boxes are only available for couples planning to order a wedding cake serving 60 or more.
Your box will consist of 2 cake flavors and 5 fillings that you will pick out (in addition to the vanilla buttercream and our signature salted caramel buttercream which are already included), this way you can mix and match at your will and try multiple flavor combinations. The box serves 2-4.

After you have made the flavor selection for your wedding you can send us a photo of your wedding cake design or we can schedule a zoom call.
Once the design is decided you can place your order thru an online order form.

SHIPPED
We now offer overnight shipped tasting for couples that are not able to come to our studio. Tastings are only available for couples planning to order a wedding cake serving 60 or more.
Please be sure to request your shipped tasting at least one week in advance.

There is an $85 fee to order a shipped tasting. Sixty dollars of this fee will be applied to your wedding cake order. And $30 is the shipping cost.
If your wedding is at one of the venues that we partner with (Rolling Hills Country Club, Trump National Golf Club Westchester, and Marigold's on Main) the shipping fee is $50.
After you select your flavor choice we can schedule a phone/video call to over the details of the design.

DESIGN PROCESS
Our portfolio exemplifies our meticulous attention to detail, different techniques, and style that sets Lovely Cakes apart, but you are not at all limited to these designs.
We aim to achieve a clean and elegant design that truly reflects you and your event. We are able to work with fondant or buttercream, with fresh or sugar flowers. Our sugar flowers can be realistic or whimsical. We also offer wedding cupcake towers.
Sometimes we can achieve a final design concept during the consultation and sometimes the process requires extra research and a few extra sketches and tweaks, so we can be sure that your cake will be just right. I am elated to work hand-in-hand with my clients on this process and our goal is for you to love your cake!

We deliver everywhere in Connecticut, Westchester County - NY, and the New York Metro area.
PRICING
Our rates begin at $7.75 per serving for semi-naked or buttercream cakes and $8.75 per serving for fondant but the final price will depend on the cake design.
For larger weddings, there is also the option of having a smaller decorated cake and a kitchen cake to complement the servings. Kitchen cakes are $4.85 per serving.
