We got the building on October 10, 2014, the grand opening was on November 7, 2015. For 13 months, my husband Alex went to work on this project almost every day! Although he is very handy, he had never done anything like this before. Perseverance and willpower played a big role on the amazing results that he was able to achieve. It was not easy, it was not fast, but it was worth it!

I am beyond grateful for all the time and effort that he invested in building me my dream kitchen. Entrepreneurship is a family sport, I always say. In theory, I am the owner, and the one and only employee of Lovely Cakes, but in reality I could have never grown this business as much as I did in the past 10 years without his support and help. What a wonderful guy I've got!

For the parts of the job that Alex could not do by himself, family and friends came to help big time! Some stopped by and helped for a day, some came and help daily for months! I am grateful for every second that all these people took from their busy lives to help us.

I am also grateful for all the support and good wishes we have received along the way.

I look forward to creating wonderful cakes and memories in this place!
